Medical College of Georgia was founded in 1828 and is the 13th-oldest medical school in the United States and the third-oldest in the Southeast.
This collection features the entire series the oldest medical journal published in the southeast region of the nation, The Southern Medical and Surgical Journal(SMSJ).
In conjunction with the SMSJ in the same time period, this collection includes student lecture notes faculty and board of trustees meeting minutes and a student registry.
MCG Today is the University’s newspaper sponsored by the MCG Foundation, Inc. and the Alumni Association. It was published 3-4 times per year by the MCG Division of Institutional Relations.
The Proceedings of the Medical College of Georgia, Foundation News, and Foundation & Alumnni News were publications produced from 1955 to 1966 by and for the Faculty and Alumni of the Medical College of Georgia.
This collection also includes the annual catalog publication of describing the courses of study and the campus life at the Medical College of Georgia.
